Getting a takedown with the eod bot arm just doesnt show you the dogtag you collect, its not a HUD element buffering the animation like when your team gets an objective, it just doesnt show what dogtag you collected, thats it. Not fun.

Update, i think its for ALL melees and not just the bot arm, i am just not getting the showcase of what dogtag i got, very sad :c
