I dove to revive a teammate and all of a sudden I was launched

One time, while parachuting to the ground, I touched the side of a vehicle and the game immediately launched me higher than the height I was falling from. Essentially launching me back into the air so that enemies could shoot me like a clay pigeon. I was a little surprised in the very least.
