Friend Request/Invisible ID

I recently noticed this, and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing it. I wanted to play REDSEC mode with a friend. I'm on Xbox, and he's on PC. When I sent him my ID, he received a friend request, but strangely, he couldn't accept it—only the option to decline. Then I asked him to search for me, but he couldn't find my ID, even though I made sure I sent him the correct letters. According to my friend, the search bar couldn't find my ID. I don't know if this is a game bug, and I hope it's a bug, because if it's an account issue, it'll be difficult to get tech support to help me. Something else I want to point out is that in the social section, where the squad group is, my name is invisible—as if it doesn't exist. Also, my ID should appear in the top left corner, but nothing is there.
