Is anyone else getting this error and crash when trying to play with 1080ti graphics card? I finally found a fix this morning. I went to nvidia website and reverted my driver back to the previous one. So I replaced the newest driver (58142) with the one just before it, i.e. 58129 and bingo! problem solved! Game runs flawlessly now! I was so happy I though I would share.
btw: 1080ti is under tech specs but still looks beautiful on high settings lol! :)
UPDATE: this did not actually work in the long run. The only thing that worked was to play on low settings, and even then it was spotty. I ended up upgrading my graphics card to a RTX 5060 and now it works fine on all settngs.
tldr; 1080ti ONLY WORKS ON LOW SETTINGS! ... at least this was my experience.

For me, it was not the same solution that fixed it, I also have a GTX 1080 Ti.
What actually solved my issue was resetting my graphics card completely using DDU, and more importantly, repairing DirectX 12.
Anyway, our once powerful GPUs are starting to show their age.
I will never forget this masterpiece, and in the coming months I will move on to an RTX 5090. My beloved GTX 1080 Ti deserves to be replaced only by its true equivalent.
I had the same issue and i think it's gone judging by many of continuous hours of gaming yesterday.
All i did was disable any manual oc, and enable dx11 and disable dx12 in a user.cfg i've put together.
Render.directx12 0
Render.directx11 1
This seems to have completely solved the issue. And I gotta say, even with a stutter here and there, and some input lag, the king still can run bf6 at native 1440p 165hz at extremely good framerate (granted with a fine-tuned, compromising visual fidelity while still looking great user.cfg, which i'm more than happy to share with whoever might want it.)

Update: i think my xmp profile was causing ram-related errors, thereby causing the gpu to crash. ever since i tuned the memory, no more crashes.
