Reporting a common issue with frametime spikes causing microstuttering about 2-3 times a match of Operation Firestorm, Manhattan Bridge, and Empire States. All other maps are completely stable so this isn't an issue with the high cpu utilization / memory leak and framerate degradation that a lot of other people are experiencing with all maps.

I have a 9800x3d cpu with 9070xt gpu. Seems to be happening to Nvidia gpus as well. No event logs indicating software / hardware issues. Seems to be server side or something with the maps shader or texture loading on these specific map that causes these stutters. I'm not able to replicate this on any parts of the map nor is it related to any specific situation where lots of explosions / levolution happening as far as my character can see.
UPDATE: I spent the last couple of days trying to fix this with every fix possible and concluded that ultimately this is an engine-side issue. Nothing in computer hardware or software on windows is at fault IMO. It's also not any background services interruptions because it only happens on those three maps. More so solidified by the fact that a lot of other people experience the same thing regardless of hardware. I noticed that when the spikes happen my gpu utilization drops to around 88% so the gpu was still working but just slowed down because it was waiting for a resource or sync event like a shader load or something, and these maps like operation firestorm, manhattan bridge, empire state are probably triggering these sync issues due to the way have been designed. It happens at random points in the map and at random times, so it isn't indicative of a baked-in or scripted engine sync but something like a dynamic streaming stall. hopefully they fix this soon.
UPDATE 2: Confirmed that the new map, Blackwell Fields, does this too.

Just jumping in here to say that I think I have this issue too. I can see these huge frametime spikes when dying and the map screen loads too though, but that’s not a big issue. It’s when the same spikes randomly appear when deployed.

Having the same issue. RTX 5090 and 9800X3D

I am experiencing the frametime spikes on Empire and Manhatten maps too. Happens randomly during matches (1-3 times) and sometimes during respawn.
I am on i7-12700KF and 3090 Ti.

Yes Empire State is the biggest offender (stutters in mahatten bridge and operation firestorm but not as bad) for me it stutters a few times, 5090 14700k. Funny all the beta maps are really smooth.

I have the same problem with these cards with a 9950x3d processor and 64 RAM. If anyone finds a solution, let me know.

Same here, I also get random DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG errors when on these maps (almost systematically on Empire State). Tried clearing shader cache from adrenaline and deleting the shader file from the appdata folder, and also reinstalling the gpu driver (after uninstalling with DDU) with no luck. I also have 9800X3D and a 9070XT, running Adrenalin 25.10.1. Other games run completely fine, no crashes so far...

Hello,
Same issue here on these three maps... 9800X3D + 5090.During the beta, I had exactly the same kind of micro stutter on the maps: Cairo, Iberian, and Empire State (strangely no issues on Liberation Peak).
I tried everything to fix the problem (I work in IT...) but nothing worked!
The graphs in CapFrameX were very telling: tons of spikes. Now that the game has officially launched, there are no more issues on Cairo and Iberian, and the CapFrameX graphs are much cleaner too (except maybe Iberian, which still has quite a few spikes but at least no more micro stuttering).
In my opinion, it's definitely an issue on their end — probably some shaders missing and being loaded on the fly, causing the micro stutters... either that or something else with their game engine.

Yes it’s on their end. I saw the same thing during the beta, Iberian and Cairo had frametime spikes which are now fixed upon released. Iberian peak never really had any and still doesn’t have any. But yes Empire State is the worst offender especially near C, D, and E flags where all the action is. Manhatten bridge also and I get them in Operation Firestorm from time to time. Hopefully they aware of the issue and it can be fixed because sometimes it happens during a gunfight.

Trying to find a fix for my buddy who has a 5900x/7900xtx. Im thinking its a AMD cpu/mobo problem, i run a 14900K/4090 and zero stutters or crashes. Every time firestorm comes on its an instant crash and continues to crash for him. All the other maps he will crash every now and again. So it has to do with hardware imho.

It has nothing to do with amd. Even on this thread guy with intel said he has same issue xD. And look at this steam discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2807960/discussions/0/591784958348260246/
There are multiple people with intel cpus experiencing same issue. Also if it were hardware issue it would stutter on all maps, but only three are problematic.

Hi,
Apparently, there’s nothing about possible performance improvements on maps in next Tuesday’s patch notes... too bad.- iLikeYourSiS32 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
- Map fixes across multiple locations, resolving spawn animations, out-of-bounds issues, misaligned assets, and general stability across Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush modes. - there is that, but nothing specific about this problem.
