Matchmaking is not functioning as it should

Lobbies are always full of bots, matchmaking does not seem to bring in players. Please come up with a solution for this issue, it has been like this since day 1. I couldn't even play a proper match with players most of the time, on a good day it might fill up, but most of the time it is 80% bot lobbies. For more context, my play region is in Asia, which includes China, so I do not think the amount of players is an issue. Many players also shared the same problem on Reddit, but no acknowledgment was made by EA/DICE.
