Mouse Wheel Key Bind Broken After Patch (Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro) - RESOLVED

Hi everyone,

I’d like to report a potential bug introduced after the latest Battlefield 6 patch (March 31).

Issue:

Mouse wheel up/down key bindings, which are mapped to keyboard inputs through Razer Synapse, are not functioning properly in-game.

Environment:

Mouse: Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
Software: Razer Synapse
Game Version: Latest patch (March 31 update)
Platform: PC

Details:

Wheel Up → assigned to "1" → Not working in-game
Wheel Down → assigned to "2" → Not working in-game
Side buttons (e.g., "F", "G") work correctly

The same configuration works fine outside the game (e.g., text editor)
Another mouse (Logitech G9x Laser) with identical key bindings works fine in-game

Troubleshooting Done:

- Game repair completed (all missing content successfully installed)
- Initial CDN (Akamai Technologies) download issues resolved— no side effects remain
- Restarted PC and software
- Verified normal mouse behavior outside the game

Additional Context:

After completing all downloads and repairs, the game runs normally except for this issue. This suggests the problem may be related to how the game handles mouse wheel input via external software.

Questions:

1. Is this a known issue with the latest patch?
2. Is Battlefield 6 not recognizing wheel-based key remapping inputs?

Since the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro is widely used by FPS players, this issue could impact many users.

Note to Razer:
I will also reach out to Razer support to confirm whether this is a compatibility issue with Synapse or something specific to the game.

Thank you!

【UPDATE】

I would like to share a final update on this issue, as it has now been resolved.

After several months of inconsistent behavior, I performed a complete removal and clean re-installation of Battlefield 6. The process took approximately 11 hours (from April 2, 18:30 to April 3, 06:00), with highly unstable download speeds ranging from 800 Kbps to 50 Mbps.

During this period, I also noticed several irregularities:

・ The in-game language setting did not match the launcher setting (English in launcher, but Japanese in-game for months).

・ The installation directory setting had changed unexpectedly from my designated D: drive to C: drive on multiple occasions.

・ Download performance fluctuated significantly, and briefly stabilized after I manually paused the download for a few minutes.

After completing a full reinstall under controlled conditions, both issues were resolved:

・ Mouse wheel input (remapped via Synapse) now works correctly in-game.

・ Language settings are now consistent between launcher and in-game.

At this point, the issue appears to have been caused by a corrupted or inconsistent installation state rather than a hardware defect.

I understand that some of these observations may sound unusual, but I am sharing them in case they help others experiencing similarly inconsistent behavior.

Thank you to the community for providing a space to document and track such issues.
