Progression not counting

Doing the recon specialist and at the part were I need to “spot enemies at objectives using recon gadgets but I’m not getting progression. I’m planting a motion sensor at capture points in rush/breakthrough while using a recon drone hovering above lighting the whole capture point up but not getting a single progression point
