Recent BF6 server join issues when playing through Steam

BF6 on Steam lately will allow me to join a server, and wait for the queue to end then dump me back to the main menu for the game when the server loading process ends.  This is a fairly recent issue, this game worked flawlessly since launch on the same computer.  This must be a recent issue between Steam and EA, if you're going to offer a game through a competitor you need to make sure it works.

    Hi there. Welcome to our forums. Thanks for the report. Here are some steps that could help you in this case: 

    • Fully close Battlefield 6, Steam and the EA App, then restart your PC.
    • Power-cycle your modem or router by unplugging it for around 1–2 minutes, then reconnect it and wait until the connection is fully restored.
    • Try joining a server while playing solo rather than from a party.
    • In Steam, right-click Battlefield 6 - Properties - Installed Files - Verify integrity of game files.
    • Flush DNS
    • Temporarily disable overlays such as Steam, EA, Discord or NVIDIA overlays, as well as any unnecessary background programs, then test again.
    • As another PC troubleshooting step, you can back up your Battlefield 6 settings profile files and let the game create fresh settings. Just keep in mind that this may reset some of your in-game settings.
