How are we months into the game and I’m locked behind a challenge I don’t even know how to progress? Laser designate targets? Easy. Sustain damage on targets? Impossible. I watch time and time again aircraft and tanks getting taken out while marked and absolutely zero progress towards this challenge.
Nice one. I'm glad that you got it ticked off. It drove me a little bit mad when I was doing it.
I got it after having a buddy only use jav and stinger.
The other issue with this assignment is that it doesn't make it clear that not all launchers count. It will only count the damage from the ones that benefit from the laser designator.
Took me a while, but I eventually got it in Escalation mode.
Is the challenge pinned? If so, then it won't be possible to follow it anymore. Pinning it can trigger a progress bug. And yes, it unfortunately took a very long time. It took me almost a week. A little more each day.
Once you've selected one vehicle, you must then select another. Selecting the same vehicle multiple times is not possible.
I believe for that one I had to just constantly paint the same target. You get match credit for the designation itself but the challenge specifically seems to only track the first few seconds after spot activation
