PS5 — after Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.3.0 on June 30, helicopter/aircraft zoom is set to Hold, but releasing L2 does not cancel zoom. It behaves like Toggle. Infantry zoom works normally. Issue only happens in helicopter/vehicle controls.
same on PC. ZOom is set to HOLD (right mouse button) but it behaves as TOGGLE
PC here also - same issue happening.
There are temporarily fix for this and that is when you spawn into a helicopter you have to go to controller settings for helicopter and choose Toggle and back to Hold again in order for the Hold for helicopter zoom to work as normal.
If this has been fixed already or is about to get fixed just tell me or say it in the comments cause I don’t like playing with this bug it is so annoying because once I respawn it’s like the settings reset to toggle so it is a really annoying bug. Please just tell me when this could be fixed. I also do not know how the devs could’ve missed this bug after the update bruhhh.
Now toggle overrides everytime you get in a new heli. Hopefully they will fix it but temporary fix is
Go to settings>Gameplay > Toggle/Hold > Vehicle weapon zoom > Hold
1. You probably already have this on hold BUT every time you get a new heli click it to put it on Toggle and then click again to go on Hold again. You do not have to back out of the menu in between clicks. Just click twice on that setting.
2. The alternative is swap places to gunner (you might have to zoom in and out once here) then swap back to pilot. This also gets rid of being stuck on heli weapon being stuck on toggle mode.
Note even when you do this and fix the issue, your 1st person normal view (not zoomed in manually) is going to be more zoomed in than before the aptch with a dark circle around your 1st person view like when you just spawned in a viehicle in your HQ in 1st person. Now that view does not go away and stays in 1st person even after you fix toggle every timeLooks like the pic above. Basically also the not zoomed in 1st person view is more zoomed in than before now.

Zoom not working right, first to third view not working, third view roll not working... Great job BROKEN all choppers in this game.
Really pathetic.
Try switching seats for a second, when you get in the heli. After switching seats, HOLD should work, until you get shot. Just keep doing it every time you get in a new heli.
