Can confirm this is still happening. Thankfully this is the first time I've ever had this bug so hopefully it's just really rare. Seemed to happen right as I got downed. My headset nearly blew out my eardrums as my sound went from normal to what I can only describe as an explosion of extremely loud static. Like so loud I couldn't just sit there and adjust to it. It physically hurt my ears so much I threw off my headset and kept it off. Only shutting down the game and relaunching made it go away.
