Sprint-to-Fire Delay Causing Single Bullet Shots on Full-Auto Weapons (Xbox

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running into a consistent issue in Battlefield 6 on Xbox where my gun fires only one bullet when I come out of a sprint and try to shoot, even though it’s set to full auto.

It usually happens in fast paced situations, for example, I’m sprinting around a corner, an enemy pops up, and I immediately ADS and my gun fires just one shot, and then when I press the trigger again, it goes back to full auto like normal???

I did find that playing with sprint on hold instead of toggle fixed the issue. But hell nah am I playing with sprint on hold, running around everywhere. I'd rather lose a few gunfights from the bug.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? Would love to know if it’s being looked into or if there’s a better workaround.

I figured out the issue: it wasn’t a bug in the game. My LT/RT dead zones on the controller were set too high (100), which caused the first shot after sprinting to fire only one bullet. I lowered them to 0, and it fixed the problem completely. Hopefully this helps anyone else running into the same issue!

  • Dude... THANK YOU!!! I was literally about to yeet my controller out the window. 😂
