Sudden appearance of a scope-like overlay

the issue has been in the game at least since the season 1 update, and it's not random - this happens when a recon on your team looks through their soflam (look at your screenshot!)

its usually just the 2 maps this happens too , that oilfield one and the one from BF3? one map has a weird bug where everything gets bright (makes it noticeable which terrain can be smashed apart with a hammer, the only good side to that but otherwise too blinding) , some maps make it so your scope has thermal on it even if its not a thermal scope. not sure what those triggers are but its pretty awkward and aweful. the thermal one is actually beneficial but feels wrong since i didnt put one on =X its also not a consistent thing it goes on and off.

I've had this on my ultrawide for weeks and it is ULTRAannoying. 

From my experience, this is unrelated to any specific map. I've seen it happen throughout all maps when playing conquest or escalation. Doesn't happen in close quarters games so maybe it has something to do with a recon using a soflam. To me it looks more like the view you get when aiming while driving a tank. 

And yes I've also noticed the random thermal view. I've sometimes gotten even on rpg's =D But there's a fix for that issue coming in the next patch I think.

I've been having this all the time, aswell as thermals appearing on sights that don't use thermal.
The scope-overlay thing been around since launch of season 1 I believe, the thermal issue has been around since launch, can confirm.

I just made a post about this because I didn't know what to call the effect. it's super annoying and I wish it would get fixed. I mostly notice it on Firestorm. 

This makes sense. it happened non-stop just barley. I'm a solo and got in a team with 3 other recons and the effect was going crazy.
