The multiplayer queue is NOT prioritizing lowest ping servers

I'm on PS5 in North America and I keep getting moved from one region to the next from one game to the next. One Conquest game my ping is under 60ms and the next it's 100ms. Either give us back the old server browser we had in past Battlefield games or give us a way to lock to specific servers. I don't want to region hop from East to West coast just so I can load into a match 10 seconds faster.
