Unable to load into any match since update

Game opens fine, select mode to play, and it starts loading, however as soon as it's done "loading the map" it just sits there, not frozen, but nothing happens, the screen shifts as if to load into the map but nothing happens, I've left it 5 times for 30 minutes and it still doesn't load in.

Tried the following with no success.

  • Disable cross play
  • Changed from fullscreen to borderless even to window
  • Repaired game files
  • Reinstalled game

Thus making it impossible to actually play...

everything was working perfectly till the latest patch..

Hey WhysoS4LTY — thanks for joining our forums. Here are a few things worth trying on PC if the game isn’t loading into a match:

    • Disable overlays/background apps: Turn off overlays and anything that hooks into the game (Discord, GeForce Experience, Steam overlay, Xbox Game Bar, MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner, etc.).
    • Reset graphics settings: Delete the game’s settings/config folder so it creates a new one on the next launch.
    • Update (or roll back) drivers: Make sure Windows and your GPU drivers are fully up to date. If you updated recently, try rolling back to a previous stable version.
    • Run as admin: Right-click the game .exe  and select Run as Administrator. You can also try disabling Fullscreen Optimizations in the Compatibility settings.
    • Add exclusions for the game and the EA app in your antivirus and firewall.
    • Repair anti-cheat: Run the EA AntiCheat installer/repair, reboot your PC, and then try again.
    • Reboot your router, try a wired connection, disable any VPN/proxy, flush DNS, and optionally test public DNS (1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8).

hey EA_Pulsar so the things you mentioned, the only thing that works intermittently is disabling MSI Afterburner overlay, very inconsistently though, why would an overlay displaying cpu/gpu usage and temps cause the game not to load though?

It is usually related to how these programs hook into the game to display the overlay. That can sometimes interfere with loading into a match, especially after an update. If disabling MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner helps, please keep them closed for now and watch for future driver, or app updates that may improve compatibility.
