Accel Clock does not work in slow sim (play now)

I have messed with accel clock as much as possible during slow sim in the play now game mode. It never works. Regardless of what time i have it set to, accel clock on or off i still have to watch some presentation for 15 seconds before they’ll come to the line again. It makes it impossible to watch as it’s incredibly boring. I tried quick presentation but it never seems to work except for after kickoffs.
