Moving On Up Trophy failing to activate

This appears to be a very common issue that has yet to be resolved. I have made it to sophomore in road to the college football playoff mode without the moving on up trophy being achieved. I don't understand why this issue persists. I may have a theory for why this issue has happened. I started a new season before the screen with the "congratulations for making freshman" popped. Perhaps this has caused issues for other users. I like getting platinum trophies, and this being the only issue standing between me and the platinum is frustrating.
