Not playing despite being wr 2/3

I’m playing Wide Receiver for Kansas as an underdog, I didn’t play a down my freshman year as I was a WR 6, but in my sophomore season i’ve moved my way up to WR 2, and when I reached WR 4, I played half the game, I then got back to back position battles and moved to WR 2, where I didn’t play a single down the whole game, I’m healthy no wear and tear, 2 receiver on the depth chart and coach trust, had a good game but not getting any play time, grades are 4.0 too. I just got a challenge goal and didn’t get to play a single down to even attempt at it. How does this make any sense?
