Crashing before halftime with no error code

Has anyone found a fix for constant crashing on PC?

Ever since I bought College Football 27, I have not been able to complete a single full game. Almost every time I play, the game crashes before I can even reach halftime. The game just closes completely with no error code, crash report, or any indication of what caused it.

I’ve tried multiple troubleshooting steps:

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
  • Verified game files through Steam
  • Updated GPU drivers
  • Checked Windows updates
  • Tried adjusting graphics settings

Nothing has fixed the issue so far.

My PC specs:

  • GPU: RTX 4070 Super
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • RAM: 32GB
  • Storage: 2TB SSD
  • Platform: Steam

My system should have no issues running this game, so I’m not sure if this is an optimization issue, driver conflict, or something else. Every other game runs fine, but this one consistently crashes.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround? Any suggestions would be appreciated because right now I basically can’t play the game.

    First game I tried in dynasty mode crashed at halftime

    If you generate a Dxdiag report and post that here, we may be able to spot an issue and advise.

    Happens on Xbox X as well, was never fixed in 26 as well.

    You are using an insider/preview build of Windows which is technically not supported.

    Some troubleshooting: 

    Video drivers:

    1. Boot into Safe Mode.
    2. Run DDU or AMD Cleanup Utility.
    3. Install the latest WHQL AMD Adrenalin driver.
    4. Avoid importing previous settings during installation.

     

    Repair game: 

    If using the EA App:

    • Library, College Football 27, Repair

     

    If using Steam:

    • Properties, Installed Files, Verify integrity of game files

     

    Reinstall anticheat:

    Navigate to:  ...\__Installer\EAAntiCheat\

    Run: EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe

    Then:

    1. Uninstall EA Anti-Cheat.
    2. Restart the PC.
    3. Install EA Anti-Cheat again.
    4. Restart once more.

    This doesn't work. EA made a really good game but it unplayable right now on PC. It literally restarting my system

    Are you using online or offline dynasty?

    On the PS5 I had this same issue with online dynasty.  On the PC, I have only done offline and I'm in year 3 and haven't had a crash.

    My CFB 27 is constantly crashing mid game. I am unable to complete a game as it has consistently crashed all day today. This is happening on CUT, RTG, and Road to CFP. It is frustrating and as a long time Ea customer this is the worst I've ever seen a game at launch. I really hope the guys at EA are actively aware of this because the game is unplayable for me right now.

    I've tried all informed above and I keep getting a Desync

    EA Repair-Update driver-reinstall game- anti cheat-clear cache
