The AI has no awareness to players. If you overtake on the inside, they just turn into you. The AI don't suffer from the collision they just drive through you and carry on, as if they are on rails. ...

I agree with the second part that collisions don’t effect them much but not sure I agree with the first. I find them more aware of my car’s presence than ever. But I am single player xbox, so it may be different for you.
