DualSense Controller Disconnects After "Press Any Key" Screen in F1 25 (Steam)
Hello, I'm experiencing a serious issue with F1 25 on Steam while using a DualSense (PS5) controller. When I launch the game, the controller works fine during the initial splash screen. However, as soon as I press any key to continue past the “Press Any Key” screen, the game displays a message saying DualSense controller disconnected", and the controller stops working entirely. Unplugging and reconnecting the controller doesn't solve the problem. It only starts working again after alt tab the game. But once I reopen the game, the issue happens again — the controller disconnects right after "Press Any Key." So at the moment, I’m completely unable to play F1 25 using my DualSense controller. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Using both wired and Bluetooth modes (same result) Toggling Steam Input support (enabled/disabled) Reinstalling the game Verifying game files Updating controller firmware and Windows drivers Please let me know if this is a known issue or if there is any solution or workaround. This is not the first time it has happened to me, but it has happened to me at a crucial point in my league race season. Just so you know this is not an internet issue, it is a GAME issue, because this has never happened on any F1 games or just other sim racing games. The lagging only stops when i turn off my wheel base, and my wheel base is the simagic alpha evo which is 12nm. 12!!!! If a game can't handle a 12nm base then its a disgrace. Just a reminder this has never happened to me on any other game then f1 25, so if you tell me that its an issue with my setup, then that is just utter incompetence to optimise a game well enough for mid range equipment, here are the 2 clips below which as you can see happened in the same race within a matter of laps. Great job creating this game EA and Codemasters!
Workaround: [Silverstone PIT LIMITER 60km/h] DOESN'T WORK
You reduced the pit lane speed at Silverstone to 60 km/h to avoid gaining an advantage on the last lap by entering the pit lane. Your workaround DOESN'T WORK because I've been overtaken numerous times by taking shortcuts on the last lap. My proposed solution to this problem, which has been present in F1 games for many years: The pit lane should be closed on the last lap, and attempting to enter the pit lane should result in a penalty (e.g., DSQ). Similarly, failing to use two different slick tire compounds in the race (in dry conditions) also results in a DSQ penalty. Then, the correct pit lane speed could be set to 80 km/h. It's strange that no one has thought of this after all these years.Fuel mixture mode
Why can't you change the fuel mixture mode in qualifying on the downhill lap? You can set the LEAN mode on the outhill lap and change it to STANDARD later. Such a change on the downhill lap would be advisable and helpful. On the qualifying lap, the change is blocked (LEAN makes no sense then). Similarly in the race. You can change on the formation lap, NOT in the race, and after the SC you can again. And why can't you in the PITLANE? There used to be 4 modes. The increased ones were banned. Why can't you use the LEAN mixture at any time?
Force feed back issues related to frame rate
Uncapped fps (200+) causes sudden burst or loss of force feed back and even turns by itself even with the car stopped, capping my fps to 190 or less fix the issue even if the ffb still feels a bit off, i've got a g29 but there are other people with different wheels encoutering the same issue and getting it fixed by also capping their fps, ive talked to a guy that had to cap it to 60 fps in order to make the wheel behave normally, this shouldnt be a permanant fix to this issue. It actually feels feels like the wheel force feedback is not in sync with the game and therefore the wheel feels laggy and not sharp as in f1 23Mirror BUG in cockpit view
When the car is in the garage, this is the view in the mirrors. When the car is out, the view is different. It should always be the same. The mirrors are showing the wrong view. You can see it in the video. Fix this! I purchased the game on Steam, and since the day I bought it, I have never been able to launch it properly. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps: Reinstalling the game multiple times Updating my BIOS Verifying game file integrity in Steam (Steam always reports 3 missing files, and no matter how many times I reinstall or verify, the issue remains ) Closing all background applications that could potentially cause conflicts Despite all of this, the game either fails to launch at all, or it crashes within one to two minutes after launching. According to Windows Event Viewer, the crash appears to be related to EA Anti-Cheat. Below is the error information I found: Log Name: Application Source: Application Event ID: 1 Level: Error Error Details: EAAntiCheatService The game f1_25.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x1 This issue happens consistently every time I try to launch the game. I would like to know if this is a known issue with EA Anti-Cheat, and if there are any official fixes or additional troubleshooting steps I can try. Like many many other users, I cannot launch F1 25 on my PC. When I attempt to launch the game in Stream I see the splash screen, which eventually closes. Then nothing happens. This is a fresh Windows 11 install with very few other applications installed. I've tried the following: -Disable antivirus (Windows Defender, no other AV installed) -Manually install EA Javelin software from F1 25 directory -Manually install EA Javelin software from download on EA website -EA Javelin software repair -Reinstall game from Steam -Run file validation in Steam -Install EA App -Run game as administrator -Verified list of incompatible software for EA Javelin (non installed) -Update Nvidia driver -Starting game with no Internet access -Verified local Documents directory was not pointing to OneDrive (registry entry was correct) I cannot attach hardware settings information, since heh game does not launch and will not create the directory. I cannot provide a report code, since the game does not launch. Below is a screen shot of the splash screen. It will progress past this message to "Launching Game" before it fails completely.
VR not working (AMD 9070XT)
I also askes AMD about this issue: On my GPU 9070XT i still have a VR issue. Tried everything with new and the latest 25.10.2 driver but no luck. So i'm back on the AMD 25.4.1 release (amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.4.1-win10-win11-apr22-rdna). INGAME: Tried everything, but i still get a strange grey image in VR and only the HUD ingame is showing correctly (with F1 25). I saw posts online with positive results. Is there anything you can do? Or do you have any tips/tricks? Note: this only occurs in F1 25, all other games DO work
