The AI straight line speed is absolutely absurd. I can have DRS and dump the entire battery running 0-0 wings and still not overtake or be able to defend. it was the same on launch for either F123 o...

AI straight line speed.

Having the same problem, no matter which AI level. AI, especially Verstappen is way to fast on straights. Racing in Quatar is a pain in the **bleep** with that. Every quick Qualifying is hoping that i can come closer to them in a turn, but at turn exit the AI always does hyper speed.
But i understand. As F1 25 is just F1 24 with updates, which is F1 23 with update, which is etc., we get recurring Bugs every 1-2 years. It's pathetic for EA but we all know this company, selling minimal updates for full price.

You do know dirty air is a thing right?
And you don’t know difficulty setting does not affect their car performance, only how they perform in/out of corners?
This is not an full arcade racer, where a boost button will instantly make you faster than others, they have the same tool as you, and are preprogrammed to be using them in near optimal fashion on each session of a track, so players will have to up their game to match them.
I know this is hard to swallow, but the more I played in both single player and multiplayer, the more I realized how little most people actually knows how to optimize the tools and mechanics that were given to them.
You don’t just brake, turn and accelerate in this game, there’re a lot more things you need to manage

With no word did i mention that i was behind a car or in a DRS train. But i agree, that this could be a problem...but also for AI then.
Together with the grip for AI at wet conditions and the nearly non existent tyre wear for AI, the straightn line speed and overall acceleration makes this game nearly unplayable and most importantly: it makes no fun anymore!
Just had a fast qualifying in China. Was first with 0,005 sec. Second was Verstappen. And in the Sprint Race he overtook me on the last straight because in the great turn (with the big read and white wall) he gained approx. 0,7 seconds. I could block him but at the middle of the straight he overtook me and at the end of the straight he was 0,8 seconds in front. That makes it around 1,5 seconds from beginning of the turn until the next turn. No chance to get near him. At the end of Lap 1 he was out of DRS range at all. 🤨
The higher the AI difficulty, the worse it gets. Up until F1 24, 80 was just nice for me. It was a competition but i always had the feeling that i have a chance and i had the feeling of progress. In F1 25 it's just a big middle finger.

Did you use Overtake mode in Qualifying? And what was your Ai difficulty setup?
