The AI straight line speed is absolutely absurd. I can have DRS and dump the entire battery running 0-0 wings and still not overtake or be able to defend.
it was the same on launch for either F123 or F124 and it took like a month to fix it and it was unplayable the entire time.
105 Ai level
I have been playing my team career mode and just started season 2. Season 1 was great and I had little to no problem with then Ai speed. However, I recognized that upon immediately beginning season two the AI were ridiculously fast on the straights, and overall. its to the point where I can not even complete a race or fight for points whereas I was fighting for wins in the first season. I could be 1.5 seconds ahead going into the straight and come out .3 ahead even when using drs and all my ers. A real game breaking problem after you complete one season.
The main issue as well is AI ers. I have videos where I have to drain all of my battery to just stay in front on the main straights like in Catalunya. But the AI always have 100% battery for overtake mode and are at least 15-20 kph faster
Don’t want to be rude at all, but have you guys actually played the game post release and used the settings that people have been describing
100-103 it vary from track to track. In every track even with a low downforce setup when im on the 8 Gear at some point when i dont use overtake i loose so quickly my gap i always have to drain the battery to gain more and more
I Play on 95 and worse place i feel it is in slightly more downforce tracks and less in quick tracks like monza. Where you as the player have to run higher wings it feels like the Ai dont. At hungry i came out the final turn 1.1 Infront, by the end of the straight i had dumped my battery and the gap was 0.4. It was in my team and my car is second quickest on the grid on red bull are quicker the car behind was a merc
I've been playing around with setups etc, I feel like the problem isnt too bad in the first season of Career/My Team, it's only really noticeable once the cars get upgraded and the AI naturally get faster.
I've turned off TC completely and feel like that's also helped a little bit, also people who have made setups are starting to create setups solely for the purpose of racing the AI - shouldn't have to do this but it's a short term fix.
In no means am I saying there's no problem at all, because especially after Season 1 it makes racing the AI incredibly frustrating when it feels like they just have unlimited battery, which is probably the most likely issue rather than something inherent in their code.

Thank you for all your comments here. Unfortunately, I don't have any new information on this. However, I would like to encourage you to post videos of instances when the AI's speed is too fast on straight line.
Also, please don't forget to mention which AI difficulty you were playing.
