The AI straight line speed is absolutely absurd. I can have DRS and dump the entire battery running 0-0 wings and still not overtake or be able to defend.
it was the same on launch for either F123 or F124 and it took like a month to fix it and it was unplayable the entire time.

The ERS usage they have is making it frustrating to race against them. As an example in Imola they deploy ERS on every single straight with varying amount of seconds they use it. However they always have it and it seems to either be at 65%-75% capacity each lap or the visuals on their display is misleading and they just have infinite amounts of it. It is just not possible to deploy this much around a track and still not drain the battery even with upgraded cars. If i as a player do that same deployment i have around 40-50% less energy than my teammate who does the exact same thing. Its on every track not just Imola but on Imola it makes it so you just cannot race them at all.
In my first season of My Team career this issue was already frustrating enough. But in my second season you can tell how bad it actually is. I thought my car was just super draggy compared to the other cars when my cars performance was on the lower side.
But since I started my second season and my car is suposed to be a top midfield car, the game became pretty much worthless since I spent every other race just defending and draining my battery on the straights. Its just not posible that a Sauber is almost a sec faster on the long straight in Miami, in the rain without drs. Miami in particular is really bad.
it does not matter how low my wings are set up.
To be fair, some tracks are worse then others, Miami, China and Imola are really bad in my experience. But Mexico for example was actually really for me runing on a very low wing setup.
needs to be fixed, we all just end up defending all the time and creating a 20 sec gap with the cars in front of us because they just blast away on the straights..
I’m currently in career mode in a Williams on 100-102 AI. I agree with someone else’s comment that they are insane on the straights but relatively slow in corners (particularly imola and Miami). I get stuck in a loop of catching them then watching them disappear into the distance

Sounds like either you've emptied your battery or were using the wrong ERS mode.
Can you help us telling us how to use better the ERS, I try alot of things but not getting good results

So I'm halfway through Season 2, maxed out my engine upgrades, and AI cars are still too quick in a straight line. My teammate (who's in an identical car) is faster than me in a straight line. I even had a race in Austria (I think) where I had DRS open and ERS on hotlap mode, got past a Mercedes on the last corner before the pit straight (so they didn't even have DRS), and by the end of the pit straight they were catching me! 😂
I'm not sure if you know already, but first, try to always keep the battery at least above 10% energy, once it's below 10% the power output is significantly lower and overall very inefficient.
Then, when it comes to the timing of when to use Overtake, the corner exit after a slow corner and into a long(er) straight (especially if it leads to a DRS zone coming after) is where you should use them.
However, try to use it only during the early part of the acceleration. Normally, I would disable Overtake mode on 7th gear, unless I know I had the momentum to overtake at the end of the straight.
And, never waste more battery than you should when you know you're in a DRS train, unless you've much faster outright pace than the car in front of you (who's also following another car). Be patient, only use Overtake if you need to stay within one second, disable it entirely to recharge whenever you can (at high speed, recommended), take advantage of the slipstreaming+DRS instead, or on the twisty part of the circuit where you know you could keep up without the extra power, the lower output also helps managing your tires.
in a car with max DRS rnd and ERS on and im still losing on straights to an ai car with no DRS open, its insane. the AI also have the most insane grip out of corners especially the chicanes on canada where i lose up half a second cause their cars seem to have some alien made traction control
the AI battery is still too op and EA isnt doing anything, the AI has 100% battery every time and u cant defend or even attack and thats why i will stop playing until they fixed it (they will never), also the AI is not effected by dirty air and trye temps and that sucks, at least diry air come on, are you so lazy guys? there are mods that try to fix this why cant a developer do it? thats sad and pathetic at the same time
Yes the AI is a big improvement but there are the same issues year after year after year, fix it our ur game is dead in 3 weeks
Just use Auto ERS at this point
