You simply cannot match the AI in a straight line, even with low downforce and using overtake mode. They seem to have unlimited battery and even when you run a very low downforce setup on a track where it's not necessary to do so they are always faster. It's been an issue since the game launched and was an issue the last couple games. They don't manage the ERS the same and the player and makes it very difficult to race them competitively
Agreed. Same here. I’m playing at level 50 and even then it’s ridiculous. It makes drs and battery usage completely pointless. Even without drs the ai can overtake you like a rocket. Wish someone released a mod fixing that.
They've either given up or think they've fixed the problem in patch 1.12. I've given up on this game, so I'll just go back to 24 and hope we have a decent game next year. F1 25 is dead, I think. We haven't even had a performance update to bring the teams' strengths closer to reality.
