Car undriveable after Rewind as avoiding a crash

Every time something strange happens as I crash a wall forcing to retire, until the rewind spawns. So I resume before the crash point, but then my car turns undriveable. It behaves like still heavily damaged, brakes ridiculously early into corners and I only get rid of this problem by going to pits, but only to risk my race. Does anyone else have this?
