Development paused for the entire season

This new feature is a joke...it's impossible to play like this. I play with damage on, and despite this, every time I have some incident I flashback, meaning I always finish the races with no damage. Despite this, every race I always get 0 cash from the race end (and my teammate always gets the full cash), and I ALWAYS have Development paused. IT'S A JOKE of a feature and it ruins the game. I even played a race with damage off and it still added days remaining to my development paused thingy. Seriously, get rid off it or FIX it. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO UPGRADE. I HAVE A BUNCH OF UPGRADES to put on the car, that would take me from the bottom of R&D to pretty much a top 3 car, and yet I can't do anything.
