ERS switching

During a multiplayer race on the 21st of August, on the grid before the race start I turned on the ERS and then off again. 
Once I started my ERS was constantly flicking between overtake and hot lap. Nothing I did stopped this from happening. I could not adjust it on the MFD and pitting did not fix it.
