I've had exactly the same issue on Xbox S, occurring twice in the last 2 weeks. First time the quick fixes failed: reset, power cycle & changing audio settings. The issue was fixed by full reinstall.
Second time I was playing fine single player. Then switched to split screen mode and then no in-game audio. Music plays fine in the game but silence when the engine starts. I would also appreciate help to resolve this issue, and prefer to avoid full re-install every few days.
