Playing on the steam free weekend.
I was in first place and as soon as I crossed the finish line, I was bumped to last place.
The only thing I could think of was it had to do with the tire requirements for the race - the pre-race strategy all called for a two-stop strategy, with mediums/hards being required. I ran a one-stop race and barely made the finish, and after 47 minutes just to be dropped to last place - moreover, as a result, my driver ratings were harmed through no fault of my own.
I found a report of this on a reddit post from two months ago, so this has been around for a while.
Needless to say this was rather disheartening and has made me change my mind about the game after this free weekend.
