Thanks for this as it has given me more to check. I am running the game through steam on an old PC. It does not meet the minimum requirements in processor and graphics card but I was hoping Steam would get around that. I'm not convinced the hardware is my issue though.
If you are running it on a PC that doesn’t meet minimum requirements then could be your issue
