I was experiencing the same issue. Go into your PlayStation settings and temporarily set HDR to OFF. Launch the game again to change the gamma. It prompted shortly after opening the game. Close the game and turn your HDR setting back on. You should be set! It will lock the Gamma again but you can repeat the process to adjust.

To anyone having this issue.
Uninstall the game (just the game - be very careful here) and reinstall. Progress is saved (on mine at least)!
This will allow you to go through the Gamma settings again. I left mine at 100 (default).
I am now able to see the track correctly even though the Gamma settings is still locked (until they fix it). At least now I can play the game!!!!

Hi pointgrinder,
Once you reinstalled (after uninstalling), were you presented to set graphic (blocks, dark and light)? If so, you need to leave them at the default (don't change anything). Continue on into the game and everything should look OK.

Doesn't give me that option. BTW, I deleted everything, including the profile user settings.
