Hello! I'd like to report a really strange bug, where under various conditions, during a qualifying session, the AI's lap times instantaneously change to something completely different. This includes drivers' fastest laps suddenly becoming slower 😅 or sometimes saying that now they have only one lap, when previously they had done two!
This means the qualifying order also completely changes, which occasionally has messed up my plans... or for example, I thought my teammate had comfortably qualified for Q2 or Q3, only to see them eliminated at the end 😭 because their time had suddenly become 1.5 seconds slower or something!
Trigger:
Many things seem to trigger it, but I have found at least the following actions trigger this bug 100% of the time for me. This is what I did in my attached short video as well.
- Driver career mode
- Play a round until qualifying (any)
- Fast forward time until all AI drivers have recorded a lap time
- Go to pause menu and make a mid-session save
- Go back to the page of AI drivers' times
- Observe completely different lap times and rankings for AI
The above isn't the only situation where it happens. For example, I could be driving a lap, I check race director and it's one set of times, but later that lap, when I check again, the times have completely changed. But in that case, I do not know a consistent trigger for it.
I also don't remember coming across this bug in previous games, so it might be new to F1 25?
