"PREVIOUS" LAP display that appears when I pass the control line disappears after 5 seconds.
On many courses, I'm so focused on braking that I don't have time to look at the display, and by the time I notice it, it's gone.
I wish the display time was longer.

I recognize your issue. My way of circumventing this is by asking the engineer about my last lap time.
