Promotion BUG in a Ranked Competition

In the previous competition, I placed first in my group. I was in the top three, which was supposed to be awarded promotion to the GOLD 3 division. But it turned out I stayed in the GOLD 1 division. What's this supposed to mean?

  • I don’t remember the exact mechanics off the top of my head, but when a season ends everyone gets moved down a few tiers, however in you case since you were on pace to go up they cancelled out, and you stayed in the same spot.

So it was a SPECIAL case (SEASON CHANGE). That's OK.

It's a shame all my effort didn't get me promoted, but it's better than relegation. But still, don't you think it could be improved? So that the season change wouldn't affect the division level, only the results.

  • Yes, I think most people dislike the current ranked system, the problem is finding something to replace it with. Since they've now got some time to think before the next game launches, hopefully they will come up with something a bit better for 2027.

The format of the ranked races themselves is good (qualifying and the race). We have equal cars, so driver skill and the right setup are key.

The biggest problem is the impunity of those who ruin others' races. Pushing off the track, braking mid-straight, which leads to damage or complete retirement from the race. This needs to be fixed!

In the old F1 games, there was a penalty: Illegal Blocking. You would receive a warning or penalty in situations like the one I mentioned earlier. Then it wouldn't be profitable to eliminate other players.

It would be worthwhile to include a detailed explanation of the ranking points after the race: why positive points and why negative ones. Penalties should be very severe (e.g., -100 points and a greater loss of license level, or a complete demotion from an A to a B license), and ranked races should only be for A license holders. Then, anyone who "misbehaves" will be banned from the ranked competition for an extended period.

Another idea is car interception. There's something to think about.
