Dear CM,
I'm writing here what I already posted yesterday in the topic F1® 25 - Patch 1.13 Discussion Thread, I think it's the right section.
After patch 1.13 had been release, I noticed my bestlap in Zandvoort (1:08.722) previously in top 10 Playstation was going to be improved by a lot of people. I decided to test the track and in a few attempts I was already faster, until I got down to .357 (3-4 tenths faster!!!). Like if there was more grip, but I didn't understand at that time.
Until today (yesterday). I'm currently struggling to keep the pace of the best players in Interlagos, especially in sector 2 where I need much more load (WR wings are 29-14, mine are 33-25!) but still wasn't understanding until I read this on X (link):
This got me thinking, I went to check the compounds expected for each track that I saved at the game release and I found the differences below, which I don't know if they are specifically related to patch 1.13 or modified from time to time (from further investigations the Silverstone case may be there starting from patch 1.11, the others from 1.13) but the point is, each time you change (I guess) the soft compound for the track you change the performance in Time Trial too!!!
Here is what I have found:
- Canada, Silverstone, Zandvoort and Baku are faster (I can directly confirm the case of Zandvoort, and by checking the dates of laptimes also Canada and the others have a lot of recent laptimes at the top!).
- Spa, Austin and Mexico should be (fortunately) safe from the bug, they changed the hardest compound only which should not affect Time Trial.
- Interlagos is slower. Simple as that.
So the problem is that the track-compounds change (which I think everybody wants to be updated to match the real, like you are doing) affects also the performance in Time Trial and we get absolutely unfair leaderboards for this reason. For example there is no way today (with a C4) to attack the lap previously done with a C5 at Interlagos, while who set the lap earlier in the 4 green tracks (with harder compound) simply couldn't be competitive at that time with today laptimes (made with softer compound).
I wish you will be very careful about for the future, by setting up Time Trial tyres at the game release *NOT linked* to any subsequent change on the track compounds.
This is necessary for the correctness of the TT leaderboards, and fairness in general. While we can stand with the 'green' tracks i.e. made faster with a patch (not fair but still possible to improve later), it's absolutely wrong what happens for the 'red' tracks, i.e. made slower with a patch (impossible to compete after that patch release). And if you consider that patch 1.13 has been released on 14-Oct-25 this means it will be impossible to compete for the whole title lasting! (May-26?)
Besides as a workaround for the current situation, it would be greatly appreciated if you may add a field to mark the compound used for each laptime directly in the TT leaderboards of the involved tracks (e.g. 'C5' or 'C4') , at the same way you currently show the 'team' chosen in the FanZone.
Thank you for reading and to take the problem into consideration :-)
