Cannot qualify for the women's champions league despite winning the league

For some reason, if you manage a team that doesn't start in the champions league, even if you win your domestic league you cannot qualify for the champions league which is frustrating. I managed Marseille and won the league two years in a row and didn't qualify for the Champions League. 

Also, there is no cup competition which makes playing this mode pointless. The French league is already a bit weird, you can finish 4th on low points and still win the league by winning a semi and a final.

I'm assuming this is due to the limited teams on the game in each nation and hope that more clubs will be added and the above bugs/issues are fixed for FC27.
