Career Mode Youth Scouts Won't Return

Just started playing the game yesterday and after sending youth scouts on scouting missions for 3 months, they are stuck and cannot get them to return.  Scout mission completion date was October 1, 2026 and it is now October 8, 2026.  No option to recall and they keep sending blank scout reports every other day.  What is the fix to this??
