Crash DirectX lors de la pause adverse en ligne – EA SPORTS FC 25

Hello EA Team,

I am experiencing a persistent and very specific issue on EA SPORTS FC 25 PC.

Each time an opponent pauses the game during an online match, my game crashes systematically with a DirectX error.
This crash occurs both in 1440p and 1080p resolution, and persists even after a full clean reinstallation of the game.

Here’s everything I have already tried:

Disabled all overlays (Steam, EA App, NVIDIA, Discord),

Forced the game to use DirectX 11 with -dx11,

Played in Borderless Windowed mode,

Limited FPS to 120,

Disabled PCI-Express Link State Power Management,

Stabilized GPU and CPU settings,

Ran full stability tests (OCCT, FurMark, Superposition, 3DMark) ➔ No errors,

Fully checked Windows system integrity (sfc /scannow + DISM) ➔ No issues,

Wired internet connection ➔ Stable without packet loss.

🛠️ PC specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti

RAM: 32 GB DDR5

SSD NVMe: Healthy (no SMART errors)

Additional info:

The crash only happens when an opponent triggers the pause menu.

No crash occurs during normal gameplay, only at the transition gameplay ➔ pause menu.

This strongly points towards a DirectX swapchain crash or an issue in how the game handles online pause transitions.

✅ My system is fully stable outside EA FC 25.
✅ Other games work perfectly fine without any crash (NBA 2K25, Call of Duty, etc.).

Could someone from the EA Team please escalate this case to the developers or QA team?
I am available to provide:

Crash logs,

DxDiag reports,

Any further technical information if needed.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Julien

Do you have two screens with different resolutions? I was finally able to complete a match after unplugging the second screen — let’s see if it holds up over time.

Rolling back to NVIDIA driver 576.26 solved the issue for me.
