Game changes tactics to caution and overwriting my own created tactics

After scoring a goal, i pressed start, team management and then edit tactic. When i scrolled down the game changes my tactical present to cautious and changes my formation from 4321 wide and defensive approach high to the formation 41212 narrow and  defensive approach deep. I cannot go back to the tactics i was using as my custom tactics has been overwritten. This was during a champs game and ultimately led to my loss are my players was out of position and i could not find the 4232 wide formation, it was like the game removed the choice.
