No way to change inputs mid game

During a Champs Qualifier, my PS5 controller stopped working only during the match itself—keyboard took over. Controller worked perfectly in menus before and after. EA support acknowledged the bug exists, but I was denied any form of compensation for the lost match, even though this unfairly lowered my qualifier chances. Others have reported similar issues. Please escalate this issue or at least enable a way to switch input mid-match in future patches.
