Outer Tops in Manager Career Mode Show Item Codes/Rainbow Textures
Platform: EA FC 25 (All platforms affected – confirmed on PC and Console)
Game Mode: Manager Career Mode – Edit Manager
Severity: Major (visual bug affecting customization and immersion)
Description: In the ‘Edit Manager’ section of Career Mode, when navigating to the Outer Top clothing category, users encounter multiple visual and naming issues:
- Many of the outer top options (jackets, hoodies, shirts) are not displaying their proper names. Instead, internal item codes (e.g., “VANITY_ITEM_1_200030_6_NAME”) are shown.
- A majority of newly added items in this category render as rainbow-colored placeholder textures, suggesting a missing texture or asset mapping issue.
This significantly disrupts the customization experience and impacts the professional appearance of the manager in-game.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Manager Career Mode in EA FC 25.
- Navigate to Customize > Edit Manager.
- Select the Outer Top category.
- Browse through the available clothing options.
- Observe incorrect item labels and glitched rainbow textures.
Expected Result: Each item in the Outer Top category should have a user-friendly label (e.g., “Track Jacket – Black”) and a properly rendered texture matching its description.
Actual Result: Many outer tops appear with placeholder names (e.g., “VANITY_ITEM_1_200030_6_NAME”) and are rendered with broken, rainbow-colored textures.
Notes: This issue affects both male and female managers. Inner tops, pants, and accessories appear unaffected.
