Unable to edit manager appearance

As the title suggests, I’ve started a new manager career mode on PS5 and I’m unable to edit my managers appearance.

i can change the clothing however it will not allow me to change the physical appearance in any way so I’m stuck with the default look. None of the buttons work to do anything when on the face selection.
