Evolution replaced my cornerstone cosmetic

I was reading the cosmetic evolution upgrades on the official ea website and it says that cosmetic evolutions will not be replaced when you do other evolutions so that you can keep the cosmetic on the card . Unless it's the same type or a better upgrade . But the cornerstone cosmetic gave a extra plus 1 on club , but now it isn't there
