FC 26 Glitch in Team Sheets after teams edited. Can’t play in kick off!

I would appreciate it if this issue could be fixed ASAP in the upcoming updates.

Description: When you edit teams and then you want to view your teams by going on Team Sheets or play a kick off game with edited teams, you can’t as this cause the game to glitch!

This is annoying because I am currently in the process of creating my own league, which will contain 32 completely edited teams with players who haven’t played within these clubs before. 
The game is currently unable to handle this!

I have spent a lot of time creating this and all the teams all nearly all set to go. But obviously this currently isn’t possible due to this game fault.

I believe that this same issue happened in FC 25 same time last year.

Again I hope this glitch gets resolved.

    Have the same issue, in fact had the same issue for FC 25 but it was fixed.  Can't believe I'm having the same issue in FC 26. Going to try and trouble shoot today. Deleting and reloading the squads, if that doesn't work going to delete and reinstall the game and hope the updates took care of the issue.

    Yeah totally the same issue.

    I believe I have read that someone has tried to re-downloaded the game and it didn’t resolve the problem, but maybe worth a try by all means.

    I just hope that the game gets updated with the issue resolved, but now in the meantime I’m just editing my teams by not going on Team Sheets and then going to create a tournament with those clubs.

    Same, also can't play manager mode or make subs during a Kickoff game.

    Hey guys I think I found a workaround for the national team squad bug in exhibition mode, and it’s been working consistently for me so far. If you’re running into that issue where your custom lineup won’t save or you can’t rotate players, try this: I used chat to make it easier to understand. Hope this helps. Basically only Swap out Starters when adjusting you National Squad (haven't tested Bench yet, reserves seem to be where the bug is).

     

     Step by Step Fix

    Start Fresh

    Delete any old squad files.

    Hit “Reset Squads” and download the latest EA squad update.

    Test First

    Before making any changes, make sure you can edit the default national team lineup and move players around. If that works, proceed.

    Only Swap Starters (For Now)

    The bug seems to be triggered when you replace RESERVE players with new ones from the player pool.

    So, in your first edit, only swap out players in the starting XI with new national team players (those not in the original 26-man squad).

    Save & Test

    After updating just the starting XI with new players, save the squad.

    You should now be able to play exhibition matches using your updated 26-man squad — including your added players! Important Notes:

    I haven’t tested swapping bench/reserve players yet — just the starting XI.

    The bug seems tied specifically to editing reserves, which may be causing the lineup reset.

    Ok so I created a player to use in normal kick off mode I made the changes in team sheet but whenever I go to classic kick off and head to team management my character is nowhere to be found and the squad went back to default and I have no clue what to do

    Never had this issue until this last patch .. I get the error mid game crash generally on PS5… this **bleep** cooked yet again

    If EA can’t resolve this internally, I’ll be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and my State Attorney General regarding the sale of a defective digital product with no remedy or refund process. We can't get a refund and the digital product is defective.

    I can’t believe they aren’t even investigating this issue we’ve been commenting for months I know they see it!
