Measurement system changes always back to Imperial

Each time I reload career mode (any save) I need to go to measurement system to chance from metric to imprerial and back to have metric measurements appear anywhere. This is although I have metric set as default and in the settings also appearing as metric - still imperial measurements showing.

Revisiting setting first thing every save is a nuisance. Please fix this bug. Thank you.
