Trouble with customise on manager career mode

On my manager career mode whenever I try to customise my squad and change the players boots it changes them fine but as soon as play the next match it automatically changes back to black ea sports boots whilst the teams I play against have all the upto date boots which is really annoying as I’ve changed them numerous times and also saved all changes but still keeps doing the same but on my pro career whenever I change my pros boots they stay to what I changed them to. Any help or advice would be great I play on ps4 ok thanks guys
