I can‘t set the draft year of my created player to 2024 because of thet he does not show up in franchise and can‘t be signed by his respective team

I noticed that if you edit a real player in any way (like their attributes for example) and press save their status goes from drafted in 2024 to undrafted.
This is a pretty big issue because even if they fix the problem for created players there won't be a way to add a draft year to the real players. Unfortunately I've already put a lot of work into my roster.
Yep. Then all their contracts are up at the end of year 1 and the AI GMs get overwhelmed.
Day 28 of being stuck in limbo, wanting to start a Franchise but fearing the next update will fix this and I'll have to restart. 😩
I know right? Such a simple fix and they can't even update it. Literally game breaking for the franchise mode. Same goes for editing guys and they lose their draft year, same **bleep** happened in 2017 too so it's not like its a fresh bug. Should have been checked in the testing process.
I have the same issue. All the created players that were drafted 2024 will just show up in the 2025 draft instead.
I think the only solution right now is to give those players a contract and then assign them to their NHL teams and have the teams send them down to the AHL.If a team is full and you can't sign more players just go to their respective AHL teams and remove a contract.
set the draft year to 2023 as the work around for now. Ever since they limited draft years there was over 50 players last year with wrong draft year cause of the limits now in place. Unlock it and let us put whatever year we want easy fix.
I'm just waiting to the patch that hopefully fixes it. Also when you put 2023 they some still get dropped just after 2 years because there are so many players the ai Gms cant handle it.
I tried that they get cut by there team and go to FA
