Created Teams Erased?

I've spent some pretty considerable time in create a team, making my own expansion teams with good detail and such to do a theoretical 40 team franchise save. I had my eight new teams created and all saved in the creation zone only for me to open it up after playing some franchise mode for a while and all of my teams are gone and have been replaced by roughly 30 completely random created teams. My teams aren't among the 30 and I have closed and reopened my game over and over. I'm honestly just confused tbh. Wondering if this has maybe happened to anyone else before and definitely wondering if there is any way I can get my teams back.
